Early in the summer of 2011, not long after a collection of lovely, but just a little dodgy, builders had finally left our house, I started to experiment with cooking in the latest addition to our family, an Aga. I attended a few courses, and quickly got to grips with the basics. Of course the Aga guilt – having a cooker always on inspired me to find new things and ways to cook. This led me to re-investigate baking, something I’d always enjoyed.
The cakes it produced were wonderfully fresh and moist. I was hooked and so were my children and husband! I decided to learn more and began to share the fruits of my labours.
Having started off producing cakes for family, friends and school fetes, I soon found myself
making cupcakes and fancies for all sorts of people and their celebrations.
Late one night, while baking I realised – making little cakes was becoming a little business for me…
And so, A Little Cake… was born.
We now make wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, fruit cakes, fun cakes, Christening and all manner of celebration cakes.
